Here’s my very first attempt at paper cutting and sculpting, which is somewhat inspired by the 1970’s Rankin-Bass stop-motion Christmas specials. Yes, there are a couple of technical problems with this piece but at least I got my feet wet and tried it. It was quite a bit of fun, actually!
One thing I discovered in this experiment was my scale was too small. This piece is 8.5 x 11 inches and small details are just too hard to cut at that size. Next time, I’ll go larger — probably poster size. The text was added in Photoshop.
